Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated 15 July 2026

Amelu's mail infrastructure is shared across every customer's domains. What one account sends affects the delivery reputation of everyone else on the platform, so this policy is part of our Terms of Service and applies to every plan, including Free.

No spam

Don't use Amelu to send unsolicited bulk email. That means no purchased or scraped mailing lists, no sending to addresses that haven't opted in, and no ignoring unsubscribe requests. We run automated spam filtering on top of this and may suspend an account that repeatedly triggers it.

No phishing

Don't use Amelu to impersonate another person, brand or organization, or to trick recipients into handing over credentials, payment details or other sensitive information.

No fraud

Don't use Amelu for advance-fee scams, fake invoices, business email compromise, or any other attempt to defraud a recipient.

No malware

Don't send messages carrying viruses, ransomware or any other malicious software or code.

No illegal or harmful content

Don't use Amelu to send or store content that's illegal, that threatens or incites violence, or that exploits or endangers minors.

Respecting the shared network

Don't attempt to circumvent our rate limits, probe or attack our infrastructure or other customers' mailboxes, or use Amelu to relay mail on behalf of a service you don't control.

Reporting abuse

If you receive spam, phishing or other abusive mail from an Amelu-hosted address, forward it with full headers to abuse@amelu.org. We investigate every report and will suspend accounts that violate this policy.

Enforcement

Depending on severity, we may warn you, temporarily suspend outgoing mail, or terminate your account. Where mail already in transit poses an active risk to other customers' deliverability, we may act before contacting you, and explain the action afterwards.
